The Steps
Admission Process
Make sure your qualification meets the entry criteria: e.g. WASSCE with excellent passes in six science subjects (including core English, Maths, Biology/Integrated Science, plus relevant electives) and good aggregate. SEE sms.ucc.edu.gh
If applying via Graduate-Entry (for first-degree holders), you need a relevant science bachelor degree with a minimum class (e.g. 2nd Class Lower) and good passes at O-level/SSSCE/WASSCE in required core & science subjects.
Buy the application e-voucher from any of the authorized vendors (banks, GCB, ADB, GT Bank, etc.), or the listed sales centres.
Visit the UCC admissions portal (apply.ucc.edu.gh), choose the appropriate entry route (e.g. Post-WASSCE/SSSCE, Graduate Entry), use the voucher PIN and serial, fill in required personal and academic details, and upload a passport photograph as specified.
Submit the form and a generated reference number which will be sent to the phone number you specified. Make sure you provide correct information before submitting the form. Changes after form submission is not allowed.
Applications are reviewed against academic requirements and programme capacity. For medical/health programmes, shortlisting is competitive.
For certain programmes (especially health/medical), shortlisted applicants may be required to sit an entrance examination and/or attend an interview. This applies to both the Graduate Entry MBChB programme and regular students entering the university after senior high school.
If selected, you’ll be notified via the admission portal / contact details. The admission letters are published, and you can check your admission status online
Upon offer, complete any required fees payment / registration steps by the specified deadline, then report at campus as directed for matriculation.
